What is the age range for Junior Muay Thai?

Junior Muay Thai is available for children from 8 to 14 years of ages.

What skills will my child learn?

This class teaches striking skills (kicking and punching)
with a strong focus on correct technique to ensure good habits are created from the beginning.  Bodyweight fitness circuits make up part of the class to ensure kids work out their energy in a positive way and leave feeling great.  These classes are excellent to develop character and confidence, as well as coordination and fitness in a child.

Who is the coach?

Our junior muay thai classes are taken by our head striking coach, Paul Hosking.

Paul has over 8 years of experience in Muay Thai, he is an active Cairns local fighter and he holds the current World Muay Thai Council Queensland state champion.

Can my child come try it out before I sign them up?

Of course! We want to make sure your child is comfortable and having fun at all times. We offer free trials for all our classes. Parents are welcome to watch in our seating area.

What shall I bring to the first session?

Come along wearing any active wear without zips or buckles on and bring a water bottle. We recommend all our students to purchase our Muay Thai uniform once they are a member.

Do you have any Junior Muay Thai fighters?

We currently have a few of our junior Muay Thai students who are interested in competiting.

However, this class is for children who want to learn techniques, get fit and have fun! If your child shows an interest in competiting in fight shows then Paul will make arrangements for them to join our Fighters class.

Here are Fusion Cairns we cater for everyones Muay Thai needs!
